General Varnas looks at Xan as if he were confused that the boy needed to ask that question. Still, it was a good question, and one of the first that a defender who was unfamiliar with the planet would need to ask.
"Apart from Theed itself, there are two major cities here on Naboo as well as a number of small towns and villages. An occupying force would want to subjugate all three as soon as possible. Travis may not be interested in occupying Naboo but if he wanted to cause serious damage he would start with the cities.
Harte Secur is the location of our largest airbase. As all of our fighters will be engaged in battle by the time he launches an attack on the planet, that is the least likely target in this case.
The second city is Spinnaker. It is the location of the Naboo starport, and all freight traffic goes through there. Destroy Spinnaker, and you cripple the planet's economy.
And of course there is Theed itself. An attack on the capital would be the most psychologically damaging to the people.
As each city has a strong anti-air defence, originally put in place to help deter pirates and raiders, the Imperials will have to put down away from the cities and advance over land.
Given that Spinnaker and Theed are the most likely targets, their ideal landing zone will be approximately half way between the two, on the main road connecting the cities, running through the forests to the west of Theed"
"Hmm. Well, alright, then. I'll stay in reserve. But, uh, is there any way you can figure out their landing zone in case they act unconventionally unpredictable and land somewhere more out-of-the-way?", Xan asks with some obvious concern.
General Varnas smiles a tight, wolfish smile at Xan's question.
"That's good thinking, young man" he says.
"But if the Empire needs to launch a ground attack they will be in a hurry, and as such will want to do as much damage to us as quickly as possible. With that in mind, they will have very little choice but to land roughly where we expect them to"
"If Harte Secur is normally defended by the fighters that are going to be up in the space battle wouldn't that make an attractive base for Travis? All the normal defenses gone, but still set up like a military base, sounds pretty attractive to me." Kistra pipes up, looking a little bit surprised at her temerity.
She continues when nobody looks horribly offended, "Er, I'm not sure how much help I'd be on either of the missions. I think it would be best if I went to Onderon to fetch some more help. General Kelborn should be able to lend us a wing of fighters and a few frigates"
General Varnas looks thoughtful for a moment then nods.
"That would be most helpful, miss Norvasc" General Varnas says.
"The more help we can get, the better, and Onderon is much closer than Mon Calamari so with any luck, the help you bring will arrive in time to turn the battle in our favour. I'll have our best shuttle pilot ferry you there immediately. And as for Harte Secur, it has anti-air batteries just like Spinnaker and Theed. It isn't totally defenceless. The best time to launch an attack on the base there, from a military perspective, would be while the fighters are still inside and unmanned. Maximises the damage for minimal effort. Destroying the base while the fighters are all active elsewhere would be much less effective"
He pauses for breath then continues.
"Now, those of you who are staying on the ground, Sergeant Naberrie will escort you to the armory so that you can get what you need to make sure the Empire doesn't get near the cities. His men will ferry you to your destinations by speeder bike.
Those of you who are going on the commando mission, report to Major Ferin at the main hangar. The last Assault Shuttle is prepped and ready to go.
If there are no further questions, you are dismissed, and may the Force be with us all"

"So ... when do we leave I have to pack, gather medical supplies, and get things in order. Maybe a quick stop and the armory for a few items as well. From our last experience on an Imperial Ship we can prepare just alittle bit more this time. Which ship is it that we are attacking?"Says cruix as he starts gathering his pack.

"So, the two of us then," contemplates Jayce as Xan and himself leave for the armory.
"I'll need to take a look around when we get to the proposed landing site, but I do have a plan for how to meet this invasion. The Empire is probably the finest military organization to ever exist in the galaxy. They are well trained, well supplied, and have high morale. In a stand up fight, they will win nine times out of ten. Only a fool would engage them in a normal battle," says Jayce with a smile, "We are not fools."
"We will engage the enemy the Zeison Sha way: First we blind them by neutralizing their scouts; second, we lay traps, as many as we can, to thin out their numbers and strike at their courage; third, we hit their flanks and strike targets of interest. Officers, support personnel, machinery, material. Then disappear as if we never were."
Looking at his young companion, Jayce smiles and says, "We will do this until the enemy is dead or we are dead. Preferably them, of course."
You are at the main royal hangar in Theed along with Arrisa, Blake, Hrabacca and dozens of other pilots and droids. Almost everyone is rushing to get to their ships; a mixed collection of X-Wings, Y-Wings, Naboo N-1s, and in the centre of the hangar bay, four wedge-shaped fighters with disproportionately large engines.
"Be careful up there, sweety" Arrisa says softly.
"Just remember that thing is a lot faster than the X-Wings so any evasive manoeuvres are going to have a larger effect. I love you. Now let's get up there and show the Empire how real pilots do it"
With that, she grins and hands you your helmet.
"May the Force be with you, baby"
Cruix and Kanwarr
"The shuttle should have everything you need" General Varnas says.
"Time is of the essence. We need to have all six shuttles in the air to take advantage of Blake's little distraction"
Jayce and Xan
Sergeant Naberrie; a tan-skinned man in his late thirties with close-cropped black hair and a black moustache, clad in forest camo-gear leads you out of the command bunker and to a mid-size speeder.
"I hope you kids are as good as your reputation" he says.
"We're likely to be seriously outgunned and outmanned on this one so that means we have to fight smart and sneaky. My men are gathering up explosives now. Detonite, demo charges, grenades, even a couple of thermal detonators which we really shouldn't be using. I just hope we don't have to take to the cities in this fight. Urban warfare is ugly and it should never come to somewhere this beautiful. One of the prisoners that you rescued from the Empire will be coming with us. She fought alongside Blake during and after the last war so she has the skills that we need"

A young soldier in black fatigues leads you to a private hangar bay containing a Theta class shuttle.
"There she is" he says, "It may not look like much but it has seriously upgraded engines. It will get you to Onderon in no time flat"
Without further ado, he escorts you aboard and introduces you to the Duros pilot.
Within mere moments, the shuttle is clear of the planet and jumping into hyperspace.

Kissing Arrisa's hand as he takes his helmet, Torren replies "You too Princess." Turning and heading off to his ship, he grumbles under his breath, just loud enough for Arrisa to hear "Hopefully I won't jerk the stick too hard..."
Smirking, he reaches his craft, hops in and waits for orders as he preps the A-Wing for takeoff.
The A-Wing cockpit is a little more cramped than what you are used to, but most of the controls are the same as in the X-Wing.
One major difference is that you have a sensor jammer rather than missile weapons.
After about a minute, in which time you run through the entire pre-flight checklist, Blake's voice comes over the comm.
"All units, this is Liberator 1. Report readiness by squadron" he orders.
A chorus of affirmatives begins. Blake's Liberator Squadron, Arrisa and most of Sabre Squadron, Justice Squadron's Y-Wings, and Slayer Squadron's X-Wings. Hrabacca roars over the comm that he is ready to go, followed by affirmations from the other three A-Wing pilots.
With a sigh Cruix says "Well if we dont have much time we should head to the ship. I will make do with what you give me General ... now lets go have some fun."
"All units, operation Obvious Distraction is go, repeat go" Blake says over the comm.
"Liberator Sqaudron, Slayer Squadron launch in fifteen seconds. Sabre and Justice Squadrons in thirty. Flash Flight and the Syren's Heart in fourty-five. Rendez-vous in orbit and proceed to the jump point"
At the end of Blake's 15-second count, 12 Naboo N-1s and 12 red & gold X-Wings take off, activate their ion drives and fly out of the hangar. 15 seconds later 10 X-Wings with purple lightsabres painted on their fusilage and 12 grey Y-Wings follow suit.
Last to take off are the Syren's Heart and the other 3 A-Wings.

You take your leave from General Varnas and the personnel in the command bunker.
A young woman in blue fatigues with a maroon leather waistcoat over the top and a blaster on each hip leads you to the main hangar where you see the last assault shuttle, and a number of black-armoured troops boarding it.

Following suite, Torren takes off with unpracticed ease, thanks the the Force. Falling into formation as ordered, he triple checks his weapons and jammer, shields and targeting systems, to make sure they are working as they should...
"Sweety, I'm sending you the hyperjump co-ordinates now" Arrisa says over your comm as the four squadrons of Operation Obvious Distraction climb out of Naboo's atmosphere and into orbit.
"After the first attack run, you're my wing"
Once your ship breaks free of Naboo's atmosphere, you notice the Alliance fleet some distance to port, forming up into a tight formation and moving slowly towards the Imperials, hopefully keeping them from seeing the smaller targets.

"I haven't spent much time with Major Ferin's men but they have a fantastic reputation. They're specialists at getting inside Imperial bases and hijacking what we need, often making a rather explosive exit, if you get my meaning, sir. You'd better get on board quickly"

"Roger that, Saber leader." Torren crisply replies... and suddenly becomes aware of how formal he sounds. "Umm.... I mean, gotcha Babe... Ma'ma... ahhgg, I read you loud and clear... shoot me now, how do I turn this off..."
Face flaming red, Torren once again clams himself and surrenders to the Force. Sending to Arrisa, *Hon, I really don't want to screw this up and cost someone their life... Tell me I'll be fine.*
"You'll be fine, Torren" Blake interjects.
"Right, jumping in twenty seconds. We'll be coming out of hyperspace just above the bow of out target Venator and diving straight in to attack. X-Wings, lock s-foils in attack position. May the Force be with us all"
"This is where the fun begins" Arrisa says lightly.
While not exactly an appropriate sentiment for a Jedi, it re-enforces the notion that she loves flying.
'And he's right, sweety' she sends to Torren, 'Trust yourself and the Force'
At the end of the twenty second jump count, all four squadrons make the jump to hyperspace.
Thirty seconds later, you arrive right on the edge of the Imperial fleet with a Venator class Star Destroyer looming large in front of you with its open hangar bay practically screaming 'Fill me full of weapons fire!'
"All ships, fire at will!" Blake shouts over the comm.
