Closing the door behind them, Torren turns to address Kistra properly, sees her mostly naked body again... then impulsively steps up to her and locks lips. Hands on her breasts, he pushes her down on the bed, following and still kissing.
After an extremely passionate moment, Torren pulls back enough to look in her eyes, saying "I shouldn't feel like I want to do that... it wasn't about you, Kistra... I'm married now and have a beautiful baby girl..."
Looking pained, he raises off of her and back onto his feet, adding "It wouldn't be right if we did... and the fact that I want to is troubling... I'm sorry for that, but please, don't leave us."
With that, Torren turns and hastily leaves before he gets a response...
Kistra stares in disbelief as Torren leaves the room. She then pulls on a shipsuit and quickly walks down the corridor to the cockpit.
She walks in and doesn't make eye contact with anyone. She sits down next to Blake and asks in a strained voice "Do you need any help finishing up the post landing checklist?"
"Um...," says Jayce, still beat red since the incident, "Now that you mention it, no. We are more acquaintances than anything. Her duties frequently keep her away and I've never really made an effort to correct that."
"That could be a problem" Blake notes as Jayce answers, a few moments before Kistra returns.
Several conflicting instincts rise in him at once. He wants to offer a fatherly hug and some advice or comfort, but at the same time he feels like he should be professional.
"I'm so sorry" he says in his kindest voice, gently placing a hand on Kistra's shoulder. "I didn't think. None of us did. But I'm here if you want to talk, or if you'd rather keep busy, the engineering console is just behind me. You can use it to help me lock everything down"
