Leaving her equipment sitting where it is, Al gets up and leaps into the nearest chair, sitting down with an odd smirk on her face.

Taking care not to damage the furniture with his armor, Von sits down and takes off his gauntlets in preparation for eating.

"Ahhh, very good." Lord Marklehey replies as the group takes their seats. Then, after a clap of his hands, "Please bring in the meal now, Groken. Thank you."

Looking around the group and smiling, the Lord goes on, "Well now, I'd rather not get strait into business while we eat. So how about you all fill me in on what happened in Lowtown earlier today?"

As the Lord speaks, food and drinks are brought in for everyone at the table...

"Well, Ms. Bright and Chipper and *Cough!* Forgetful *Cough!* over here kinda led us into a little trouble, and I didn't get to have my drink after being on sea for so fucking long, and... y'know what? Let someone else explain it. I need a drink..."

Al immediately grabs a bottle of... well, she doesn't seem to bother looking, and immediately begins chugging it down without bothering to pour it into a glass, plopping it down on the table with a squeal of approval.

"GawDAMN I needed that... all that runnin' an' shit made me forget..."

Trying hard not to stare with her mouth open at the halfling's lack of manners, at least as she learned them growing up, Alatea looks back at the Lord and says, "I'm not really sure myself. I got a message from my grandfather that some people he hired to help me were in trouble and he took me to the spot to help the two ladies."

She gestures towards Al and Lilly before continuing, "there were some people that looked liked rabble attacking these two so I joined in. About the time I arrived these two gentlemen arrived as well." Alatea gestures to the two men. While not wanting to put anyone on the spot, Alatea feels that Lilly might have more information on the rabble so she tries to catch her eye and encourage her to speak up.

Lillian, on noticing Alatea, slouches abit more in her chair and tries to ignore any insinuation that would tie her to that type of people.

"It is terrible, one is not able to walk down the street without being bothered by rabble or,... you know,... venders."
Her speach tapers off as she doesn't even believe her little comment.

Lilly eyes the drinks around the table, bypassing the stronger drinks, she reaches for some juice, she decides to herself that when this is all over, shes getting wasted at an inn, hell, maybe she'll even spring for a room.

"We ran into a rough patch, it would seem," Von states gruffly between mouthfulls of food.

"There wasn't any mention of taking on the entirety of the city's underworld in our contract."

"Sadly, young Warmaster, I doubt that was the full force of the city's underworld... Do you not know who those people worked for?" The Lord inquires, overlooking the little one's nasty mouth... for the moment.

"Pfffft... that guy? He don't know anythin'! He's as clueless as the thugs I chopped in half - those were all mine, by the way - and he even kept stormin' off without so much as lookin' back to see if we were all still standin'!", Al remarks derogatorily, not holding herself back in the least. She takes another swig from the bottle and slams it down again with a gasp of relief.

"Fistfight! Im surprised at your behavior!" Lillian starts in disbelief.
"You and I both know I had a piece of that action, AND come to think of it, I think we should split everything evenly that was picked off the sheep. To tell you the truth, I think everyone save the preist took a turn," she says as she pickes up her juice, salutes the preist and take a sip.
Lilly wrinkles her nose and mumbes under her breath, "who drinks this stuff?"

"Aw, shaddup! I said the ones that were cut in half were mine! The ones that were cut in half!

An 'sides, nobody took a pass at the loot... finders, keepers, dammit!"
, Al retorts, gesticulating wildly with bottle in hand.

"I see, so you expect us all to thank you for the damned bloody mess you made. Well I'll have you know, some people prefer to kill in a cleaner manner." Lillian retorts, forgetting the rest of the company and starting to raise her voice.
" And...and, you got to the bodies before I even finished one! You have the advantage of being smaller, it helps you to move faster! But I want my cut!"

"Clean, schmean! What's gonna scare 'em more, eh? Their buddy with a gaping hole in his back or their buddy with his friggin' entrails strewn all over the ground?! Those little puncture wounds ain't scarin' anybody - just tells 'em yer no good in a straight up fight!

...An' if you want a cut, you gotta take it from me!"

She begins chugging down the rest of the bottle as soon as she's finished retorting.

"Hey, The guts bit was my doing. I'll not have you claim that kill. And, because it is so obivious that the severe thrashing that gave you those," she says, gesturing to her tatooed eyes, " has done damage to you brain, causing a tremendious deficientcy. It would feel like fighting the towns idiot."

Alatea looks over at the Lord worriedly to see if this behavior is normal among these races.

She then looks at the two women and opens and closes her mouth several times but isn't sure what to say.

She decides to pretend nothing is going on and turns back to the Lord Mayor, "So, Lord Marklehey, when was the last time you saw my esteemed grandfather? He seems to have arranged for the two young ladies to help me on my quest. The two men told us that you hired them to meet me at the gate."

Al sprays her liquor out in hysteria and points an angry finger back at Lilly.

"I'll have you know, these-", and she points and drags her fingers on her tattoos, "-Are marks of pride amongst my people! They tell others that I ain't someone to be messed with! They tell others that I'm a badass! Head injuries've got nothin' to do with it!"

Lillian sits quietly for a breif moment after the angery halfling babbles on about her tattoos, then, she erupts into laughter, shaking her head and waving her arms as if to ask the halfling to stop.
"I beg your pardon then, my little Fistfight," she says before sobering, "but tell me then, did you recive such a honor before or after your brain had been damaged?"

Looking at Alatea, the Lord smiles and replies "Just a moment, Dear, your companion's seem to have lost their manners." Turning toward the two abhorrently rude ladies, he says "If you two don't mind, I'd like to enjoy this meal and the time we need to spend together. Now please, no more from either of you... and watch your tongues, it is very un-lady like!"

Again looking Alatea's way, "Now where were we.... ahh, yes... I haven't seen your Grandfather in quite some time, years really... but we are old friends and I honor any help I can give him. I received a letter some three weeks ago asking for information and aid... and here you are, right on spot."

Practical beaming, the old human lord turns back for a bit of food.

Lillians eyes widen and her back straightens with indignity.

"I claim no such title my lord, but I will remain quiet for the remainder of this visit should you wish it," she says as the Lord resumes his meal.

As she sits still she stares down at her plate and realizes she has lost her appetite.
