Heading left, you make it to the end of the alley as it opens up to a sizable, rubble strewn area before the street hits the main road. As you enter this area, you notice the two thugs are still on your tail and now the exit you were seeking has also been filled with thugs, two more humans and a halfling. To make matters worse, Lilly just catches sight of another halfing in the rubble on the left, about 15 feet from where she stands.

As they men make their way toward you, one in leather with a mace at his hip says, "Well ello puppet, whada we have here... a new friend for us boys to play with." *chuckles go around the group* "Say now, puppet, I thought the boss told you not to show your pretty face around here anymore.... so what gives?"

With a smile that doesn't touch his eyes, he waits for your answer...

Lily smiles her biggest award winning smile ," I see the Flockmaster has taught his sheep to speak, a pitiy he could not teach you to bathe.My meal ticket here, is little business to you. As we were only passing through," she says as she draws her sword, "But if its a fight you seek.... I'm sure She will do."

Al grins maniacally, stepping forward and drawing her sword, slamming it into the ground in front of her, where it stands as tall as herself, reaching the tip of her head. It's at that point that the thugs can see that her teeth are filed, and her expression utterly screams nothing other than bloodthirsty maniac.

The man that was speaking takes a half step back, aghast at Al's crude demeanor. Around you most of the others also seem put off by her wicked display. Only the Halfling in front of you seems unperturbed as he snorts loudly and says "My my, are we gonna get put off by Miss Meal Ticket? Come on boys, lets get them!" Even spurred into action, the thugs aren't as quick as they should be...

*Lilly and Al are standing one square in from the alley, five feet to the right (north) is the back of a building and to the left about fifteen feet of clear space before a mound of rubble ten feet high. The man that was speaking is 20ft in front of Al, with the both the halfling and human one foot back on either side. Behind you, 30ft, is the other two humans and on the rubble stands a halfing with a sling.

[Order of combat; Halfling scouts, Lilly, Al, Halfling slinger, Burk, Human rabble, Mikel]

Lillian quickly dashes in front of the Human "Mikel" and and tries to plunge her short sword as deep as she can into his stomach.

"Your herdmaster should have taught you to mind the wolves that pray on cowradly sheep."

Al's eyes quickly focus on the 'brave' halfling in front of her, and she surges forth, her blade whistling through the air towards his chest.

Luck favors the bold and it seems these two ladies are off to a grand start. Lilly catches Mikel completely off guard and sinks her blade deep into his gut. With a grunt of pain he sneers at you and spits "You filthy whore, you'll pay for that."
[Hit with sneak attack for 18dmg]

Meanwhile, Al's blade bites into her halfling foe with a sickening crunch/pop sound, as if his shoulder came out of the socket. "AHHGG! Devil grunt, get away from me." he shouts in protest, clearly in pain.
[hit for 12dmg and Burk is marked by Al until the end of her next turn]

"Apparently, we're to head to the main gate," Von tells his new companion, taking a stride in that direction. "There's an Eladrin sorcerer the Lord wants to meet with, and we're supposed to make sure she gets there. Gods know their kind couldn't find their way through town if we tied one end of a rope to the castle and the other to them."

Tristan chuckles at his new Friends joke.
"Well at least it is an easy task without much danger involved. Besides I wouldn't object to showing any pretty girl around the city. Especially one such a Lady our Lord wishes to see safely so much that he hires to men to show her through his city. Maybe today is our lucky day after all." Says Tristan with great mirth.

Tristan pauses for a moment in surprise and replies with:
"I would hope not ... Sehanine dosn't teach being tied down by laws and vows. Still a few find themsleves making such vows from time to time. It is a thin rope we walk between both light and dark. We are to seek out new horizons and experiences. We merely seek out her favor as we make our own destiny. Besides our god is also the god of love ... did you think she would deny us her own gift. What makes you assume all paladins must be Celibate anyways?"

"Bah ... being devoted to another often leaves one's self open to such. I make time to view the positive side of my service. Everyday i find a new way to fall in love with Sehanine and the gifts she freely gives. But i will spare you the sermon. Its not something to force upon others ... and i get carried away at times, you must forgive me. Lets be on our way then."

Then Tristan offers up to Sehanine not so much a prayer but his feelings of gratitude and adoration.

Stepping back, Burk hisses "Now you fools!" Suddenly, a halfling you hadn't noticed before pops up from the rubble on the right and lets loose three stones at Lilly and Al. One stone sails wide, but the other two hit home, striking you both in the head with a nasty *thump*
[Al & Lilly both take 10dmg]

The Slinger crackles in delight.

Taking advantage of the other halfling thugs attack, Burk shifts to the side strikes out with his dagger and then back peddles a few steps to get some distance. Still dazed from the stone hit, Al isn't able to parry the attack and it bite into her upper left arm.
[Al takes 6dmg and Al is bloodied]

*Round 1
[Order of combat; Halfling scouts, Lilly, Al, Halfling slinger, Burk, Human rabble, Mikel]

Taking the que, the other halfling on the pile of rubble takes aim and lets fly a stone of his own. The stone flies true and pelts Lilly in the hip.
[Lilly take 4dmg and Lilly is bloodied]

Disturbed by the unexpected blow to the head Lily tries to stab Mikel again, looking for a vital spot to end his life.

Lilly's viciousness knows no bounds. Her blade slips past poor Mikel's defensives yet again to plunge into his now ruined gut. A squeal of pain and anguish seeps from his lips as you twist your blade before stepping back and pulling it free...

The blows only serve to enflame Al's rage - or is it madness? - and she turns to regard the companion he left for dead, swinging the flat of her blade against his legs.

It is not wise to pick on two crazed ladies, Al swipes with the fury of a raging stampede, albeit a little one, but it is more then enough to disconnect Mekils lower legs from his body. No more sounds escape his lips and his upper half flips back over end to land a few feet behind his stumps. Blood sprays everywhere and his companions gag in horror...

Seeing the brutal attack from Al, the halfling slinger launches three more rocks.... all at the crazed, black-eyed horror. Luckly, only one hits it mark, catching Al in the foot.
[Hit for 7dmg]

Burk, also agast, growls in comtempt and lungues at Al from the side. This time Al is able to thwart his attack and he backs away cursing.

From behind the two hero's, the two human thugs pull out their clubs and charge. Seemingly in shock and not wanting to pissoff the little one, Al easyly ducks under his swing. Lilly isn't as quick and gets nicked as she dodges.
[Lilly hit for 4dmg]

[Vontaras & Tristan]
As you make your way south along King's road you pass by some old buildsing and storehouses on either side. Ahead on the left, you see what looks to be an old stable. From behind that comes the sound of battle...

[Alatea]
Making the turn in the road, you can now see past the hills and catch a glimps of the wall around Fallcrest. Suddenly you get a sickly sensation in your stomach, then hear a familer voice in your head. "Alatea, the ones I sent to aid you are in trouble, you must help them... I'm sending you now, be still..."

Without warning, you feel the world around you begin to warp and churn. A silver mist swrils out of the ether, suronding you. You hear a *vaarrumm* pop and suddenly you stand at the edge a battle. Disorentation takes you as you cast your eyes about. Before you stands two women, one halfling and the other a half elf. They are being pelted by rocks and attack by human and halfing thugs. It takes but a moment to get your bearings and you know the women are the one's you are to aid.
